American, b. 1950 Carol Schloss is a Signature Member of the prestigious Pastel Society of America in New York. With over thirty years working as a Graphic Designer/Art Director in Philadelphia, and a five year Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Cleveland Institute of Art, she has honed and refined her sense of composition, pattern, and colour. A decade of working with pastels has launched her into the fine arts. Considered a fine draftsman, her drawing skills combined with bold use of colour and light, maximizing the strength of this medium. An enthusiasm for all things wild and natural brings her artwork to life with a sparkle. Schloss is the winner of numerous top awards, and individuals and collectors purchase her pastels across North America. Her work has been widely exhibited, including the Butler Institute of American Art and the Eastern Shore Art Association’s 40th Anniversary Pastel Exhibition.
